I was so proud of Jess today!
She has this hair on her lower face/under her chin etc.. it is THICK, and long- and makes her look like a scruffy old billy goat!
Well today I decided it NEEDED to come off!! I was going to do the best job I could with scissors.. but then my friend suggested the clippers.. I forgot I actually had them at the barn.. but then was hesitant- I know she will have to learn one time or another that clippers wont eat her.. so I decided to finally pull them out and see what she would do..
SHE WAS A STAR!
As far as we know (friend of ours owned her sire- and kept track of her until we got her) she hasnt ever had much done with her- and it shows for alot of things (like leading/haltering at first! ) but she was a little like 'what is THAT?!' when I first turned them on, and moved her head some when I first started, but after a few short mins just stood there like an angel! I am sooo proud of her!
She let me clip everything I wanted to- not a problem
My camera is still broken.. focus needs fixing. so I dont have after pics (YET!) but I have a sort of before pics.. you can see the scruff under her chin.. but it was even longer when I took it off!
