The Wonderful World of Horses

I haven't written here is forever! I've been soooo busy! First school exams, then three days later I left for France for 2 weeks. I got my trainer Martina to start training Sade. I was going to send him away, but martina was willing to do it and that meant I would still get to ride him and play with him and spend time with him. He's doing so well! He will pick up the canter without bucking about 90% of the time now. He's been ridden in the field and is doing nice collected trot sometimes...

My horse will never cease to amaze me. He is sooo consistent! I mean he has his days, but his mood doesn't carry over into his work. Like today i went and got him out of the field and he wasn't too happy with me. He was such a brat and it took me 15 mins to get him to take the bit. He was just flinging his head and backing up and pushing forward and he was forgetting ALL of his manners. So i finally get his lunging equipment on and get him up to the round pen. My horse is amazing! I love him! He just keeps pleasing me...day after day after day. Just last week I had 2, I repeat TWO, amazingly wonderful days in a row...he was perfect! Then we had a day where he wasn't good or bad...then i gave him the day off yesterday, then today...oh man TODAY was incredible! I got to the barn around 3:30 and went to go get him from the field. I'm starting to take lessons from a lady called Krista now. She teaches dressage, but I'm taking lessons on the ground with her, for showmanship. Sade wasn't taught squat in ground manners...so I'm putting riding on hold and going back to the very basics. Some people think I made a mistake buying Sade and it bothers me. They don't think I can handle him and that I was stupid to buy a horse that doesn't know anything. This is def. ranting..fyi! First of all, I'm trying to do everything as safe...
