This weekend was our first "big" show of the year. Unfortunately it ended up being a lot smaller than usual, and it was an Arab/Open show, not a rated show, but nevertheless I was very proud of my girls.
On Friday evening when we were getting ready to load the horses the tornado sirens went off
We checked the weather on the radio and they announced that the storm/tornado was supposed to hit our town in about fifteen minutes. I put the horses away and we rushed to a friend's house near the barn and hid out in her basement until the storm passed. I don't know if a tornado touched down, but there were funnel clouds spotted. By the time we finally got to the show it was about 9:30, so I didn't get a chance to work my horses that night.
