Ticklish pepsi and shy duke

Posted 05-15-2006 at 08:27 AM by Shikoika
Ok so I went to see Pepsi and Duke yesterday. Pepsi is offocially renamed Casanova when I refer to him, so yeah, get used to that. I'm so others will still call him Pepsi, but to me, he is my Casanova.

Megan and her mom came with us. We passed the exit on the freeway and eventually had to turn around and drive around until we found the exit again to get there.

So we got there finally, figuring that Tania would rather have her check....

Posted 05-12-2006 at 01:08 PM by Shikoika
Ok, well my morning started off adventurously. I woke up hearing possibly the loudest bird ever outside the window. Complained in my head, then rolled over. At which point Megan says,

"Uh, Katie, the cat broguht a bird in here."

Aha. The culpert revealed.

Sheath Cleaning

Stick my hand up where!? One of the joys of owning a gelding is periodic sheath cleaning. This is a mysterious topic to some, so Pat Harris wrote these instructions which she posted on Equine-L.
Step 1) Check to make sure there are no prospective boyfriends, elderly neighbors, or Brownie troops with a line of sight to the proceedings. Though of course they're probably going to show up unexpectedly ANYWAY once you're in the middle of things. Prepare a good...

Saw my babies again

Posted 05-07-2006 at 11:24 PM by Shikoika
Ok So saw Pepsi and Duke again.

I noticed after I mentioned us paying for pellets or senior feed to the lady holdign them right now, I came back a week later, and Pepsi looks alot better and has filled out a little bit more. I think she started feeding him right after i mentioned it. Or maybe my memory exagerated his bad state i dunno.

Whatever the case, my baby is doing good. Cept they both have some healing bites and hoof scratches from when they were turned out....
