I'm really excited for this weekend! I am in dire need of a little getaway and I have a feeling this mini-vacation will be just what I need There will be pictures involved, that's no doubt! I'm not going to say where I'm going, but if you do a little sleuthing you can find out without a problem

Yesterday four of my friends and I went out on a trail ride. I'd never been on the trails there, but knew that they had said they weren't something a beginner could handle.

GOD LORD A BEGINNER WOULD HAVE DIED! They were very steep with sharp turns, and big flat, slippery rocks in the middle of the trail. The gelding I was riding was NOT happy and would only take SMALL downhill steps while grunting up a storm, and I didn't know if he was just being lazy or legitimately was not comfortable...

Did I jinx myself with my last entry or what?

Doing that same line again today, Bolero dove one way and I went the other (after the last fence). I managed to hang onto his neck as he bolted away, and tried to pull back on the reins as I was underneath by his chest LOL. I couldn't hang on after about 100 feet and luckily he dodged the other way when I fell off. I hit my hip and then SMACKED my head. I'm so glad I was wearing a helmet. I managed to bruise up my arm pretty bad and I can't...

Quick question...

Does doing a simple course (2'6 vertical to a 5 stride bending line to a 3' oxer with a 2'9 spread to a rollback to a 2'9 skinny) on a horse I've ridden twice before after riding maybe 5 times and jumping 0 in the past year...

Had a good Christmas. My family is nuts!

Nikki, Michelle and I are going riding again tomorrow morning, and I think we're going to drag my brother along He rode all last summer (2006) at brat camp in Utah but hasn't been since. I guess he was a natural on a horse-- in a western saddle Now let's see how he does on a jumper!

As a side note, the ranch he went to last summer updated their website. My brother is on the homepage header...
