its getting better

well we went on our first outing and duke was an absolute star!

We did a 3 hour pleasure ride. I cant believe it!!!

It's what I've always wanted to do and I feel a great sense of achievement.

Our down ward transitions are also getting loads better, other problems are appearing as others are improving, the biggest problem now is that he sometimes leans on my hands, the good news is that our next lesson is next week, cant wait! I'm positive this problem can...

Well we've been practicing and have achieved some promising results.

Our main problem is the hollowing on the downwards transition from trot to walk but even that has shown some improvement.

We don't usually venture into the canter as there is so much wrong with the other paces, but today we did and it was great! the initial upward transition was a bit sticky but the actual canter was great.

Too long to wait till next lesson still.

I had my first lesson for a long time today and it went extremely well!

My new instructor is fantastic and really got the best out of both me and Duke. We just worked on keeping rhythm and softness and the results we achieved were outstanding.

I have broken Duke in my self and had started to doubt my abilities, so it was great today to get some positive feedback of the work I had done. She said I had done a good job and produced a well balanced horse! (mentally and...
