Okay, so I let my driver's lisence expire accidently. It expired in January, and I just discovered it last week. Mom thought I would probably have to take the written test again, but I looked in the drivers' handbook, and it said that you only have to take the test if your lisence has been expired for over a year. But, when I went in to renew it, the guy made me take the test. Which I flunked. I think it's absolutely crazy that they make you test. Like you're a worse driver just because you let your license expire?? If they want to have a punishment, charge people, for cryin' out loud! I would much rather pay than take a stupid test! And plus, I guarantee you that no driver in the world remembers that they're supposed to turn on the headlights when the visibility is less than 500 ft. You turn your lights on when you feel you need them, duh! Nobody is out there saying, yep, can't see farther than 500 ft, better turn on my lights. Who can judge what 500 feet is, anyway, while they're driving? And who remembers how far away you're supposed to stop from a school bus? I just make sure I give them plenty of room! Boy, if I ran things, this world would be a lot better place! Well, I think I just heard someone whisper, "Somebody kick the soapbox out from under that kid!"
