Project Horse Entry 2

My second day of work with the new mare went well. We did ground work exercises on leading, lunging, lots of yeilding. Then, we took a long (hour or more) walk down the busy road during rushour traffic and worked on leading and such. Overall, she has very little nervousness around traffic (honking, squealing tires, reving engines does not bother her). She gets nervoud from time to time about little things and then gets very pushy and tries to invade your space.
I put my enlgish saddle on her for her walk and then when we got back, I practiced getting on and off with little to no aggressive or uncomfortable signs. She also did not mind cinching up at all.

My third day went well. We started with some ground work, desensitizing, lunging, yeilding and backing up. Then I saddled her up and had her owner lead her around while I rode, we went down the the park across the street and she stayed very relaxed. Then, we went back to the paddock and I rode her around in a few circles by herself. Nice easy day to start working up her muscles.
