Posted 03-22-2008 at 06:59 PM by PNHPlatinum
Well welcome to our Journal.
For so background Infromation
Rider: PNHPlatinum or Rachel
Age:14(June 21)
Female
I've been riding for about 7-8 years now. With MANY differnt horses. Most were arabians/ arab crosses, and that's where my love for arabians came from! I mainly rode for fun, and I would barrel race sometimes.
Horse: Indigo Bay
Barn Name: Indy
Breed: Arabian(possibly have a little bit 1/4 or less or something else in him)
Age:9 or 10
Gender: Gelding ( or IT)
When is was 3 years old he wasn't living with Leslie, but another girl. Until one day in a indoor arena a Man asked to much from him and he wasn't happy with him, so he bucked him off! Throwing the man into the wall and breaking his arm(mark from indy is still in the wood
) After this is owner was to afraid of him and sold him to leslie, where she finished of his training so he was a good quite horse. Since he's been a good trail horse for many and been ridden by one girl for the past couple years.
OUR story:
Last may my sister decided that she was moving her horses out to BC with her and so I would be horseless. I phoned up leslie and asked if I could ride Either Indy( I had worked with him once before) or Dawn. She said yeah for sure it would be no problem to on May 28, 2007 I went and rode him. It was awesome I actually had a horse that I could work with a ride and not be afraid of!
I fell in love with him, he was my new dream horse!
In june we went to a Kid's camp, we were voted best suited(or compatable) horse and Rider (or soemthing like that)
In August I rode him in the fair show, both Performance and Gymkanha! In the performance I won my first ever 1st place ribbion, and He recieved all his first set of ribbions. We won overall 2nd place for our age divison.
In September we went to a parelli playday, and I we ended up video taping all the tasks for our level 1! I sent it in and we had a couple resubmit's did those and on Feb 4 2008 We were official Parelli level 1 graduates!
Since then So much has happend, and so much more will, You will just have to to read on to my other journal entry's to read more!
