CWLady.
She is looking to buy her stepchildren a horse. Ken says he will go to the auction and get one.
NO WAY!
I won't allow it. What sis needs is a horse calm enough for a 4 year old (Taylor - what a doll) Erin who will be 8 and listens well when I teach her a bit and mom who is a gal from South Dakota originally and really misses riding.
Soooooo.... I found an App of all things. Gelding 4 years old who has been ridden by an 8 year old girl and won walk trot events!!!
One huge major problem with this boy though. Evidently he has a bad cut on his right rear. Walks fine but the man selling is not taking close care with it and it keeps opening up. I don't know if this effects his gallop or if can be fixed if its growing wrong.
He is too good of a price not to at least go look and only afew miles away.
Where do you find a horse like this at this age and calm enough for the whole family?
Hopefully I can go out tonight and see him and assess this cut he has, watch him walk and trot.
We don't need him to gallop right now but would like to know if he can in the future cause Carol (the mom) does like to gallop a bit when she rides.
