I am writing this to help my self and my aunt sort things out with her gelding, Denali. He has sever founder in all 4 feet that started in June of 09. His rotation is at least 16 degrees in all 4 feet and his heart rate is often above 80. Somehow, he still lives.
I will add more about this later.
Thanks.

Sorry I have not posted for a while. Denali has been improving slowly. He is growing new hoof anyway.
They are moving to a new house 45 minutes from where they are now next week. The vet will be out to block all 4 of Denali's feet for the trip. I hope the bone does not push through during the bumpy ride.
Well, here are some pictures from today.

| | Ouch! So he does have a chance of making it through this since he's growing new hoof? |

| | he does. He will never be a riding horse again, but if he pulls through he should be able to walk again. Unfortunatly, he needs a very special diet the rest of his life and that includes no grass. We live in the "Evergreen state" and they don't mean just the trees. Dry lots are hard to find. |
