not in the click....

Posted 03-11-2008 at 05:42 PM by Native Winds
It seems odd to me to see how ppl add more into a message that is realy there. I often think people want a patsy (not the best word) and find one to make life on forums for that person unenjoyable. Of course your long participating members will side with the perpetrator whether they are correct or not. Its mearly a chidish game. Ppl do not know me and therefore should not be quick to judge. I have seen some very nasty threads (what I saw as being nasty) on such forums and yet no one comments on them because they are long standing member on such forum. I dont call on it either because I am not sure what is going on.

I do sometimes ramble I must say, its not intentional. However I have seen post that where extremely long and said absolutly nothing. Quick to judge me though. I have often wondered how many ppl have actually read word for word on very long post. I will say I dont, I do alot of scanning. I get the idea and sometimes I post and many times I dont. I tend not to post on things that no matter what you say it will never be heard.

I am very much a realist. I things how they are and I try very hard not to add in what is not there. I'm not perfect and never stated as such. I am about like how Zorse is....hating horse ppl. they tend to be very clicky. Not becoming at all.

Perhaps being a charletain (sp?) is what I should be. But that is fake and I dont like being fake. I never did like being fake. There are many fake adults out there, they didnt grow out of it when they become adults. Being a teenager bites. I loathed my teenage years. (I am not to fond of my adult years either. Thats is another boring story.)

I am not a neophyte. I have been in the equine bussiness for a very long time and I have alot to offer, Experience outweighs class room. I have many classroom hours and a heck of alot of on hands experience. I have taken rouge horses and turned them into decent mounts. I have retrained and rehabilitated horses with issues be it starvation to training problems. I use no force, no hitting and no beating and etc. I retrained a nice QH mare that had alot of potential and was versitile (though limited) and was going to take her to Congress. But my ride decided she ddidnt want to go. At least I wasnt the only person who got bummed out. She found another route though. I lost some money on that one. I leased this mare for 16 months and turned her into an enjoyable mount to ride on trails and in the arena and was blooming into a nice mare. She had decent bloodlines. Her owner ruined her in the beginning by cowboying her and after the lease he ruined her again by cowboying her. I wanted to buy her but he wanted a colt and wanted me to pay for all of the prenatal and postnatal financial needs. I was in college, I could not do that. She was being leased out to the college and yeah, used as a lesson horse. Being pregnant and not having a suitable place to keep her and a youngster would not have been in her best intrest. I would have had to board her out. The ******** sold her out from underneath me to a kid (4-Her) with no strings attached. He got free training, free exposure of the mare and my blood sweat and tears. I could have spit in his face.

I have had horses on a shoe string and have ALOT of ways to save money on things and use not to traditional horsey products that work just as well. I have used hoofpolish maybe 4 times in my whole showing career. I used black shoe polish. Works fine and cost less. White shoe polish to hide small dings on white legs. Works great.. Most horse products are over rated. I have worked in the eqiuine retail for a very long time testing new products and having certain customers do product testing for me. Not to mention research on those products and comparing them to human products. Baby shampoo is and excellant body shampoo. It doesnt strip hair of natural oils and makes the hair coat soft but not slippery.

I just dont understand why so many ppl want to bust my chops for I have done nothing to desrve it.

Re: not in the click....

Firstly, I have to say that I enjoy reading your posts. You DO bring a lot of knowledge and experience to the table.

I know one particular thread you were talking about in your journal where someone said you were being nasty. I did not agree with that person in the least. It was very rude for them to say just that when it was not done on your part at all.

I just hope you don't take things too personally on here. I'm not saying that you are or in a bad way at all. I was more the type to quickly get defensive, especially when I first joined here, but I've learned a lot from being a longer time member here. It can be hard to not take things personally when they are an obvious attack on you. I call tell you're a better person than that though So keep that chin high and you'll be just fine!

It can take a while to settle and get comfy on a new forum. I have to say though, this place is wonderful and there are a lot more real people that are good people here than on most other forums.

Ugliness is eveywhere, unfortunately, and you are right in that there are many adults out there who are fake. However, they are usually the easiest to point out so you may avoid them better.

I don't like the clickyness and I really hope ppl don't classify me into being in a clique... I have made good friends with quite a few members, some I have met some I have not, but I try to be friendly with everyone as I believe everyone deserves a chance at friendship.

Thank you, you are quite sweet. I was never the "popular one". I got Dogged alot growing up. But now I have......eeh...lets just say I have grown a couple (figuratively). I am slowly learning how to stand up for myself and I like it. My mother said "its about time". lol

Be young as long as you can because adulthood is no pick nick either.
