My nearly pointless ramblings about day to day life with my horsey buddies.
My niche

Every living creature has its own niche, and I believe that most people spend their lives looking for them. For some, its found relatively quickly. Others give up finding the perfect group for themselves, and change to fit in with others. Some never find their niche, while some simply give up. I'm still looking for mine, or really, waiting. I'm an agriculture girl; its in my blood. I love nothing more than working outdoors, and cleaning stalls is actually enjoyable for me. The area I'm in though is as suburban as it can get. Rich, bratty kids who I just don't mesh with. Sure, there are a few horse girls at my school that I know of, but its more of a hobby. And they don't really like the "work" part of it. They're more of the "riding only" type. I work with a girl (who I really get along with) who is from a lineage that has been in this area for close to two hundred years...before all of the development. She comes from a history of farmers and construction workers. I cannot wait to stop trying to fit in with people who I have nothing in common with. College will be such a great change, and I'm greatly looking forward to it.
