My Life RIGHT NOW... lol

So things have been good.
As some follow-up on the Mike situation, I went ahead and sold him to the lady. I had a few long talks with the barn manager (who's a friend of mine) and she assured me that she would monitor things - which I think she will.
I told the woman some "horror stories" about Mike in spurs - which were not true but she swore up and down she will never ride him in them.
He really does look great - the property is beautiful, he's nice and fat, and certaintly doesn't seem any lamer than he was before. *So*.... my fingers are crossed that I didn't screw this up, but I think I was a little irrational when I got off the phone with her that day (and made my last entry
) He does seem happy though - Connie (the manager) told me she goes out and brushes him every day, gives him treats, bathes, and has only ridden him a handful of times. Soooo... it's hard but I think it's gonna be okay.
Otherwise, the new horse Monty is doing well.
I started him over some cross rails, he was super cute about it and seems to be relaxing. He's put on good weight which makes me happy - and I've done a few long rides with him - he's really a pretty sensible horse. Time will tell, but if nothing else I'll sell him over the summer. Hopefully not though.
I'm starting to lose focus alot with school - but somehow I've deemed this okay because I'm still looking and not stuck (or so I tell myself... heh heh).
I'm going to do an intership with the AQHA in Austria next year - trying to meet some people and get some names in the international shipping/sales business. I don't know what I want to go into, but after 3 years I can confidently say that Veterinary Medicine isn't it. lol.
I've picked up a Physics minor - which is really helping to keep school fresh and out of the gutter. The biology classes were just absolutely KILLING me mentally - they just seem so pointless and redundant. But solving a differential equation, that's more my style. haha.
This summer I'm working as a rafting guide on the Poudre in Fort Collins, I'm excited but kinda scared about the whole thing too. If for any reason the job doesn't work I'm completely SOL on the rest of the season (and will have to find a job ASAP...) so here's to hoping! I wouldnt mind driving home to my parent's house and laying around on the couch for a bit as well - but something tells me that wouldn't fly with my dad. *Cough*
Things are a little hard with my roommates right now - I love them but it seems like the house is somewhat divided, and that bothers them alot (I'm not there enough to care... maybe?) We are all different people, but I'm definetly the one who has the hardest time letting really obnoxious comments just roll off my back - and I've gotten into it with two of them on more than one occasion. I try to shut up, I really do - but moody people just irritate me to no end. GAH
I think after finals when we all have time and aren't so stressed things will be easier, maybe?
Anyway, that's things right now. Je suis fatigue.

You must get lots and lots of pictures for me Don't feel bad about changing your mind on college, I did! I was going to be a teacher, yuck. Took a year of that and switched to accounting. Hopefully things settle down with your roomies. Having room mates can be tough, I know I really don't miss it at all. Everybody is probably stressed out with exams right now. |

I was pretty worried for you, as I definitely know what it's like to send your horse into what seems like a perfect situation and have it end up quite the opposite (cough cough QUEEN). I'm glad you have a friend who can monitor him, and good job with the horror stories LOL. |
