I finally have an appointment setup with the specialist for my leg. Of course the apt. is scheduled for MONDAY. For Pete's sake that is 9 days after breaking the bone, 5 days after having the xray confirm that. Lovely. Don't you just love how our medical system works? So I guess I will get a cast on Monday.

How is it that when the swelling has gone down a little, the pain is worse?
My knee still looks like an elephant's knee. Pretty!

My knee is not coming along better. I took my sweet time getting xrays - this morning, and I was almost immediately called back to the dr. My tibia is BROKEN. They will call me tomorrow am with my apt. with the specialist who will do an mri on my knee as well as cast
I told him I had been putting some weight on it and he really was up set with me. Said I could have put the bone crooked
I am very upset right now. have been well reprimanded by my Dr....

Knee is finally starting to come along. Still on crutches but I can bear a little weight on left leg today. Still cannot bed it at all.
I just returned from picking up a disabled parking pass - it took me all afternoon, driving into downtown Vancouver. I am reminded why I dislike the city so much!

What a waste. I am tired of being tied down with this injury. We are a fast paced house and I feel like a slob laying around.

I am sitting here feeling so upset with myself for doing this to my knee.
I am in agony and am totally frustrated. All the Advil and ice has done nothing. I drugged myself up on Ativan (sp?) so I could sleep last night. It took forever to wear off. Now I feel like a caged animal. Sarah is outside playing in the yard. She has been a darling all day. Fetching things for me and staying with me to keep my company. She's out playing now and of course I sit here and think if she hurt herself out...

Sarah is attending bible school day camp this week. She absolutely loves it. I stood there today looking at 50 some odd little blonde tykes and saw the chance to do some advertising for my daycare . I got the ok to put up a poster at the front entrance, I am excited!!
