We've decided on laminate floors for upstais. I'm really excited and can't wait to get started. Our goal is to have it done before our new tenant moves in on the 1st of next month. We've learned that laminate flooring is quieter than carpet! Something that was pretty surprising to me.
We need the update desperately. I will post a thread with before and after pics once it's completed. The carpet we have now is old and dark. It's worn well considering how old it is, but it realy dates the house...

I signed on a tenant this morning Very happy about that as I believe she will be perfect. A huge weight lifted off my shoulders. The money will definitely help us out.

I also have finally been given a day for my surgery. Nov 3rd. Still a few weeks away and I have yet to be given an actual time, but at least I am booked in and can get this over with.

I have been interviewing piles of potential tenants. I have turned away far more on the phone than I have in person. There are a lot of people looking for rentals and I am being very cautious and choosy about who I take. I saw a young man this evening and have been ho-huming over it and just now took another call for a woman who would like to come out tomorrow and meet me/view the apartment. She has a cat, which normally I would have said no to, but I agreed to see her as she sounded terrific on...

I have a rotten head cold that has now moved in to my chest and is suspiciously feeling like the flu today. I feel yucky, my sinuses are killing me and any meds I take make my heart race. Vicks here I come!

Life has taken some unexpected turns lately... but they have all been for the best. I am busy but I have never been happier . I have a wonderful, loving family who is always here to support me. I am surrounded by friends who are so near and dear to me. I have had some stress, but with life as good as it is, it's all just melting away.
