Cleo

Posted 05-18-2008 at 06:03 PM by Madi
Well on Friday I went out to my agistment to find Cleo had cut her leg fairly severely. Silly bloody horse. She was set to leave this weekend for her new home but because I AM a RESPONSIBLE horse owner, I rang the woman whom was buying her and let her know what had happened and I told her I would rather Cleo stay with me until the cut started healing, so I know at least the cut is taken care of.

I didn't bother with the vet this time, she was lame on it so it obviously wasn't causing

Having a baby?

Posted 05-14-2008 at 06:03 PM by Madi
Wanna know something really weird? Lucy seems to be in foal. Well it came to a surprise to me too. I mean, I've had her for 6 months. I thought she was putting on weight because she had a good diet but now her back has dropped and she overly huge. BTW she is an arabian so "huge belly" fat is not natural for her. A vet is coming to visit too let me know for sure and estimate how far along she is.

New saddle ... preparing Homebrand

Posted 05-09-2008 at 05:23 PM by Madi
Ok. Well. I got myself a nice little leather AP to take place of my beloved Wintec that is sitting in a tack shed four hours away. I'm so pleased, I always feel more secure in my litte AP then a big ole stock saddle, weird I know. And because I'm going to start with Homebrand soon, I needed my AP lol.

Good news, he is all better.

So today I'll bring him up and lunge him a bit and see how he reacts to that, if he is sound, I'll jump on him for a few minutes. And I'm gunna...

My Adam

Posted 05-04-2008 at 12:51 AM by Madi
-_- Okay, I'll let you in on a little secret. I have a fiancee, he's name is Adam and I love him to bits. We have been together for almost 2 years and I can't live without him. Problem is, there's no work in Sydney at the moment so he has to go away for work. He's a shopfitter. When he goes away, I react kinda like a horse with separation anxiety. I fret. I find it hard to eat and sleep and it's kinda embarrassing. I can't stand being away from him, I miss him terribly. Anyway, another issue is...

Homebrand

Posted 05-03-2008 at 04:20 PM by Madi
Homebrand. 17 hand bay, Thoroughbred gelding. Unsure of his age, around 10 would be my guess. He was a semi-rescue/adoption. A girl where I agist brought him 3 weeks ago. He wasn't in bad condition, the only thing wrong with him basically was his feet, which were causing lameness. The first time she got him out of the paddock, he reared up and tried to strike at her, apparently! No one seen this happen. So she asked me for help. This horse responded to me magically. He feel in love with me, immediately...
