Exciting news!!! Well to me anyway!!!

My trainer offered for me to come rider her TWH whenever I want now! I have already gone 2x to ride her. Also SO happy. At my last lesson I had so much fun!! First off my trainer tought me how to lunge a horse. The horse I ride, Sugar, needed to be lunged first because she was SO hyper so she tought me how to free lunge and lunge on the line! Now i know how to do it with my new horse! Then I got on and she asked me to go into the faster walk and the horse galloped off!

I was so freakin scared!...

New horse!!!

So I got a new horse!!! Or should I say my first horse that me, myself, and I alone pay for and own!!!!

I love the feeling of paying for things. It makes me feel responcable. Of course I probably won't be saying that when i one day have a huge fat vet bill to pay. Oh well. Anyhoo, so some old friends of ours that live about 2 miles away have a niece whom is in collage and does not want her 14.2 hh, Arab, bay, horse. A friend called and informed us they were trying to get rid of this horse and...

So I decided against getting a foal because I thought REAL hard and realized that even if I am up to the challenge, my life is getting REALLY busy lately and is only going to get worse and so I won't have to for him and I think I should have a little more experiance. I had promised my-self I would never get attached to another horse after my mare died but I also realized I needed some horse in my life because I felt alone and frustrated with the world and the extra time that I do have on weekends...

Update on life

So it has been 3 months since my mare was put down and I have finally gotten over it. Interms of riding i am doing a LOT better. I have down getting on the bit but I have to remember to KEEP her on the bit. I have down 10 and 20 meter circles almost to a T. And I started cantering on he since she doesn't really know how but I am having trouble getting her on the correct lead. Also I started doing serpintenes (sp) witch are SO hard. But I think I did pretty good for my first time. I am very happy...

well, the bad news is my mare was put down. But I do feel relivied kind of. I got a kitten the other day. She is SOOO cute. she is my friend now that my horse is gone. €

Mixed emotions here. Any way I am doing SOO much better in my riding. i am feeling so proud of my self. my trainer even assigned me a small training job. witch makes me feel like I am a good rider even though I have not quite been riding a year. Next month it will be a year. I need some ideas on how to perfect my riding....
