Peek into my Life

Well, a week or so ago I was taking Chip out to my neighbors field instead on the riding ring, you know, for a plesant change. I was tentive to ask him for the canter, because he was tensing up, and acting like he was gonna buck. But I was like, I'm not gonna let him think he can do that and I'll go crying home , so I kept asking, I finally had to hold the ends of my reins out so he could see them (i use the ends of my reins as a 'popper'). Hah!! Chip did good again today, we free lunged him (can't REALLY ride until the wither pad comes in) for about 30 minutes. He understood the whole thing like it was join up! I didn't intend to do it with him until we got a round pen! But, anyway, he was lowering his head, chewing, and focousing his inside ear to me! Do I dropped the lunge whip, and turned away, and he came to me!! It was such a great feeling, it's so hard to describe!!

Well things are working out -- FINALLY!! I'm sooo happy!

We found out why Chip is bucking (saddle fit). He has high withers, so we ordered a special pad to see if that will help.
Mom and Dad are thinking about getting a new horse from New Vocations.

I'm in love with all of the horses there!! I have 100 bucks right now, so that will help out with the adoption fee.

It rained today, though ... I was gonna ride Chipper bareback.

Ok, today me and sara had a lesson together, then we came over to my house. We decided we wanted to ride Chip, so I rode first to get the 'kinks' out, then I was going to let Sara ride, but she got on and we rode double to my neighbors ring. I cantered him a little, then Sara got on him. She's never cantered before (she's just started riding a couple weeks ago), so, I thought she was ready and I let her. She couldn't keep her feet in the stirrups, so I shortened them (they needed to be shorter anyway)....

Well, it's happened!! I'm finally getting a horse!! He is the sweetest thing, too! His name is Chip (aka Sporty's Pride), he's registered with The Paint Horse OF America Assocation. He's Sorrel with lots of white (overo or talbino ?). He's about 15.2-16.0hh, he looked that tall. He has TONS of potential as a Jumper! I'm so excited!! I don't think I can wait until Saturday!
