We took all three of the boys to Rick's this morning. Tucker and I had a lesson scheduled at 11:00am and Michael and RimRock's lesson was at Noon. We didn't want to leave Radar home alone....he is still kind of a baby about things so we took him along for the ride.

Tucker and I rode first. He improved quite a bit. I got him to go all the way around the arena without breaking gait. Even around the turns which is awesome! Rick decided it was time to try and move Tucker out of the snaffle...

Tucker and I had our second riding lesson with our gaited horse trainer yesterday. For some reason I can not get the video we shot to load on my computer. I upload it and then when I try to play it a screen pops up that says my computer does not recognise the program that created the file! huh? Anyway....the lesson was awesome! I did some more Clinton Anderson Ground Training with Tucker this afternoon. He did great! He really listened to me today and acted like he wanted to do what I wanted him to do! He had a great attitude and did not try any of his usual tricks. We did a little lunging and that went great too. We both still get a little confused when we change directions. We got tangled in the rope a few times. But then I shortened the rope.....drove him away from me and once he got walking in a circle around me...

Well ordered and received my first set of Clinton Anderson DVDs. Gaining Respect and Control On the Ground Series I parts 1-4. I have been wanting to do something for a long time. some kind of step by step structured program. I thought long and hard about who's method I wanted to try and settled with Clinton Anderson. I had considered Parelli but he is really expensive and sometimes a little too Hollywood for me. I like a lot of other trainers but Clinton seems to say things that stick in my head....
