So I haven't been too good about this, but that is most likely because I have not been riding that much! Recently when I did ride (a week ago?) it was a night, and our rides at night are not as good. I rode western and Isabel was OK. She was tossing her head a lot though, so I went and got the running martingale and put it on and that helped a lot. I rode in it for 5 mins and then took it off and she stayed calmer with her head. Overall it was a bad ride though, we just were constantly disagreeing,...

Our trailer came today! Its out in front of our house!!!! It is soo clean and beautiful. Because I had to granny sit (she had surgery) all day I couldn't take pictures...but will first thing tomarrow! YAY

So my plan was to write in this everytime I rode/dealt with Isabel...which means I've missed 3! So last weekend I rode her and she was really good again, I even let her gallop some, yet she was still really calm and would do a nice jog on no rein contact.

I went on Monday after that and lunged her. She was OK. She has been lunged over poles before and even a small jump, but going over one pole or even near it was just asking too much...oh yeah it was the "scary" black pole....

After not going to the barn since last Sunday, I finally got to ride! After driving there by MYSELF, I got her out and it was WINDY! She didn't get out yesterday and hasn't really done much all week so I expected a monster. She was sooo good, even though she was super energetic. She was spooky because of the wind but still really responsive. Sometimes she will turn her brain off when she is scared and its really hard to get her back clued in, but she didn't do that at all today. We worked on canter-halt...

With Thanksgiving I have only ridden twice over the break! Isabel was pretty terrilble when I rode her Tuesday night, and I felt horrible about myself because of it. Isabel is a very degrading horse, not on purpose but she can make you feel so incompetant and like a terrible rider. But yesterday she was amazing!
