In 'memory' of my Grandfather

Waking up, eyes full of tears,
Remembering the one you lost,
Never knowing how it could be.
"It's not fair" you say out loud,
A tremble in your voice.
The tears are running again.
As you remember the sight,
Seeing him lowered,
Six feet under.
Hoping he'd wake up from this slumber.
Knowing good and well,
It would not happen.

Why do you taunt me?
