Had to do some horse wrangling today. The neighbors two horses were on our pasture and BW was on theirs. Thankfully BW is an easy catch. We have some fencing that really isn't fencing it's a make shift gate not on hinges that one the horses knocked down. So after catching BW I tried to use him to chase the others back to there pasture it didn't work of course. But BW was a good boy. I would tell him easy when he tried to walk faster than I was. And even the whole time he watched the other horses...

Well today it's gorgeous outside. Nice day for a ride. But I can't. Why? B/c she is gone. The horse I should be riding is dead and today it's killing me. I want to ride. I want to be riding my horse. It's not fair. I tried to take good care of her. We had a bond. She taught me to ride better and I want her back so we can continue to ride together. I don't think I will ever get another horse. I'm considering selling my saddle. I won't ever use it again and it's too small for the kids and hubby.

Well for the second day in a row. My son put the saddle on Buckwheat and ground drove him. Yesterday it was just around the pasture, today it was around the orange cones and barrel. When my son was done ground driving him there was some sweatage. I told my son he needs to put some weight in the stir ups. Well when he tries to do the left side BW does the get away from me dance and tries to cow kick. But he is ok with the right. He will stand to be saddled and unsaddled, he will let you lay over...

Well she is here. Molly is her name. She is a good horse as far as being people friendly. She is not shy with me she will walk right up to me, she comes when called. I have to feed her and Buckwheat seperated or she will let Buckwheat eat her food. She takes about an hour to eat which is fine. She doesn't seem to eat like she is starving which is good. She likes to be groomed and pet but doesn't like to be tied. I am going to have to teach her not to paw when she is tied. It is just not allowed...

Well it is official we are going to go and p/up Buckwheats new pasture buddy. I'm excited. She is going to be my project horse. My project is to get her back to a healthy weight and work with her in training anything she needs to be trained in. Not sure how much she knows or doesn't know. We will find out. I'm excited and can't wait.
