Drinking like a dog??

Posted 03-04-2009 at 05:43 PM by katiebugsmylove
my horse Dakota drinks like a dog... or rather slurps his water is that normal for a 9 year old? and he bits the side of the water tank. I think he dose the bitting on the tank because he is bored could that be why? and he doesn't always slurps and sometimes he drinks like my other horse Katie bugs...and he should not be bored we have a jolly ball and a jolly stall snack out there for him.... should I stop him from slurping or is it ok for him to slurp?? thanks!

Western to English

Posted 02-13-2009 at 07:55 PM by katiebugsmylove
my mare katie bugs has done Western riding all her life (shes 16 years old) and i was wondering if it would be hard for her if i were to ride her dressage or any other kind of English (not jumping) or if it was the same but just different for us? I read online that for the first few rides its different for them and it can be confusing for them is it?? and i also read that you can tell is the horse will be good by the horse height is that true??
I have not stared but I might start this spring!!...
