Living life as it comes along.
Just stuff.

May came and went. Between the b-days (parties), graduations (parties), awards ceremonies, school letting out, and our anniversary..... it was a pretty busy month (which is why I wasn't on line for over two weeks).
Have to tell about our anniversary. Not that it was a spectacular event..... just that what happened on that day was funny, stressful, and quiet.
I mentioned in a post that we have gelded Chance. It just so happened that the day the vet was going to Pat's was on the 22nd which is our anniversary.
Right as the vet was starting the gelding, I non nonchalantly mentioned that it was ironic that we were gelding him on that particular day. Hal (the vet) asked why. Told him that it was Tommy's and my 25th anniversary. I thought Pat was going to bust a gut laughing. Hal didn't get it. Tommy just gave me that "stop being a smart a**" look.
It was funny to me.
The stressful part was the actual gelding. It was chaos.....
The quiet part.... Tommy drives a truck local at night (back and forth from Montgomery to Cullman). He only had one run so he took TR with him.
The Weather
The last rain we had here was on April 16. Not a drop in May and the rain before April 16 was on March 2. The pastures were beginning to get to nothing but sand in spots. There wasn't any real grazing and what little was there was brown and so dry when ya walked on it there was foot prints left behind.
It has been so dry that we didn't even have dew on the ground in the mornings.
We FINALLY got some rain!
On the 7th we got 1/2 inch. 8th, 2 inches. 9th another 1/4+ inches. Funny how fast the grass starts turning green and growing after some beneficial rain.
I just hope that somebodies hay fields got wet.
Now it is HOT out. Actually it's humid. Walk outside and start sweating before ya do anything.
Oh well........ WE GOT RAIN. lol
