My trainer is now convinced I need a new horse and Patches is NOT the right horse (already said she knows the perfect one for me)

Today we had our first X-country schooling, don't know if Patches could have been any worse. He had no rhythm in his canter, he was all bouncy, like his stride was really choppy and up and down, then he would get to the jump, stall, then climb over...

Fun weekend Friday I had a lesson on Patches, very aggravating This time he didn't have much forward energy Lots of people were in the ring so I had a very long lesson, I liked it like that. Patches wasn't doing to well and I was getting upset and my trainer had us work on leg yielding. He is really bad at it, but we had some nice steps toward the end, he is a fast learner And that SOOO helped us on the flat! It was AMAZING! He started rounding up and was working very nicely!
