I got home from work yesterday, and like always i got changed and made my way down to visit the horses. And ****** me, there stands Charlie with yet ANOTHER cut on his off hind His leg from fetlock to hock was blown up like a balloon, i was NOT amuzed i can tell you!
So i grabbed a halter and dragged him to the shed to hose and treat his leg. Its the strangest cut/scrape ever, there is one prominant cut just below his hock on the outside of his leg, then another, what looks like a scrape which leads from the main cut to his fetlock. I gave it a good wash and put black powder on it.
I went down to check his paddock out to see what might have caused it, but nothing, no holes, no wire, no sticks or branches, no nothing! The only thing i could think of was maybe he had rolled and hit hiself with another hoof, or he has been standing by the fence, kicked at a fly and managed to catch his leg in the fence. Not to sure. But either way, that guna be a few days of no riding, and im really guttered il just have to ride old fatty Saph instead.
