He arrived in the fall in an open topped stock trailer. Fuzzy pink with a black mane and tail and a small white star. He has what looked like sideways H's in black from his coronet band to his pasterns. We put a halter on him in the trailer and led him out. Barely 6 months old or so but so laid back. He hopped out of the trailer and tried to pull back once. That was about it before he led right up into his new home. He came from the sale barn so he's quarantined for now to watch for strangles.
My mom called him "Alpo" for years never by his name. Always told me "Why don't you sell him, is not good for anything but dog food."
Right up to the day that my sisters riding instructor offered me $5,000 for him as a school horse and replacement dressage horse. She finally decided he was worth something after all so " why don't you sell him and get a better horse?" was the question from then on.
