Fostering Mia

Aaron and I are giving a lot of time to our local on base animal shelter and there is a very special dog named Mia there. I don't know much about her history, but it couldn't have been good.

She is a nervous nellie and she really needs a foster home. Being part of the volunteer shelter isn't good for her. Too many different people. Too much kennel time and not enough experienced people to handle her. It's snowballing for this...

HGS is making me sad

I'm not leaving forever...

I just am having a rough time dealing with my move and there is a big PMS monster on my shoulder and a depression bug around the corner.

Coming on HGS is making me sad, I don't feel like I can participate the way I used to and almost everyone's threads are making me sad. Almost every time I come on here I just think about what I am missing and ... it hurts.

I will pop in once in a while to check for messages...but I just don't feel...

I know...another whiney sad post. *hmmpfh*

I am frustrated with Aaron's schedule. It totally sucks that he gets up at 3 (THREE!) AM and doesn't get home until after 6 on the days he works. He is SO beat by the time he gets home that he spends about 4 hours with me before we go to bed. That leaves him time to shower, eat, talk to me for an hour and barely a few minutes to himself...

Then when he gets a day or two off, he spends the majority of it...

Things here are trucking along as best as we can hope for. I never expected it would take this long to settle in, but considering we literally moved to the other side of the planet, it's understandable. We are finally out of the Navy lodge, and we were ONLY there for 62 days! What a relief. No more noisy neighbors or cleaning ladies knocking on the door. I swear, they knock once, say "ROOM SERVICE!" and just come right on in. I barely got a chance to jump out of bed a few times. They never...

Tiffany means the world to me. I may not be bonded with her on a horse to person level...but I love her. I know she's got something absolutely bewitching and I also know that she's got a better destiny than just sitting or being a broodmare.

I don't care if she becomes something with me or not...I just want her to shine, excel and become what she is meant to be.

I don't think I would have clicked a crummy text only ad for her, paid 500 bucks and driven half way across...
