I'm way overdue for a horse blog on here. Bella is good, but we really didn't make any progress like I was hoping this summer and now school starting is just around the corner. I was just starting to gear her up to have a summer of working and then she injured her right front leg and was down for the count and basically on stall rest for like 6 weeks Poor thing.

Well...the baby came at the barn on 3/21 so my trainer didn't find any time to ride Bella before then. I kept working her and trying to get her shedded out. Things have been going well

Had a little adventure with using long lines. She'd never had long lines on before, the idea of having something attached to both sides of her head and pulling while I was in the middle seemed to be fine with her and I was good with it . We just walked and trotted a little, did both directions...

So its been a month since my last update. Since then, I've worked Bella about every single day...actually more like 5-6 days a week, I give her at least one day off.

We've longed with a bridle/caveson/sidereins/surcingle/halter and all combinations of those, in the roundpen, the indoor arena and the outdoor arena. We even had one night where I was longing her and one of the gals was walking around the perimeter with her horse. He was acting up so Bella started to too. Then another...

So Jackie worked with her again on Thursday and she said they had another good session. I worked out a somewhat schedule with her, she is going to try and get to her once this week and then I am going to try and exercise her twice during the week, plus try for both Saturday and Sunday, and then try to turn her out as much as possible. I have pretty much followed that so far. Friday and Saturday she got turned out. I was ready to exercise her on Saturday, but Jackie had lessons in the arena...

I know I've been bad at updating this thing for awhile now. Since I started school shortly after my last update I have been super busy. Then all of this snow (the last 6 weeks we have gotten at least one good dump of snows every week) that isn't melting and just turning into ice at the barn, its been trecherous.

So lets go through a little timeline update of whats happened since August.
