Ground Driving.. Yup!!

Gert had her first ground driving lesson yesterday.. woohoo!! She didn't know it was coming, hahahhaa!
The past few weeks/months she's been turned out and gets to run around and eat weeds all day. I haven't worked her much as I decided to just let her grow up and be a baby with a little bit of work here and there. Plus I spend most of my time working Molly I dont get to work Gert but I do spend plenty of time with her. She still gets fussed over..hehe.
So yes! Yesterday I clipped two lunge lines to each side of her halter. She was so confused at first and started lunging herself
.. I had to stop her numerous times and after a while she finally got it and I could drive her in a straight line. We worked a little bit on turning/doing half halts and getting her used to that. We worked for about 10min total. She was so good! I decided to do this once a week and maybe lunging once a week, if that but not much.
She is getting SO BIG! I can't believe it. It's getting harder for me to wrap my arms around her neck, lol. I have to lean into her a different way when before I could just throw my arms around her. I have to make more of an effor now, hahaha. Her mane and tail are getting loooong too.
I really really wish I could somehow get Tif here for Heather. I know it would give Heather a better peace of mind knowing where Tiff is and the care she will get..and I would update once or more a week. I love horses that like to buck, LOL and I know I would have a great time riding them out on Tiff and getting her to mind her rider. I will keep praying for Heather and Aaron and pray that everything works out as intended.
MY BO told me he's wanting to expand more stalls on the facility. I'm pretty excited! Mainly because he wants more boarders and horses for ME to train. So him expanding will help me bring in business as well..which would be awesome. I thought about giving lessons to beginner kids. I'm not used to teaching anything more advanced.. and I don't feel qualified to anyway. Plus I like kids better or even adult beginners but I have more patience for kids, lol. I think it would be a great oppertunity and would benefit both the BO and myself.
I LOVE my BO and his family. I know I have made lifelong friends with them. I can talk to Marilyn about anything and we do all the time on the phone, lol. And they have the greatest kids. I'm so happy I found them! And I think only great things can come from our relationship. I am so blessed to have them in my life and that they love and care about Gert as much as I do.
Even though everything else seems to be poop right now.. I'm just glad I have my horses. I don't know what I would do without them..
