I just got back from the barn and I had the most wonderful day EVER with Isabel.

Recently we have really been working on trailer training, and basically started from scratch (me and my Mom) after realizing we know our horse and other people's methods were not Isabel's style. She isn't some horse that can be told what to do, she has anxiety and we had to address that. Well today for the second time we got her all the way into the trailer and with the butt bar up, AND she was very relaxed during the whole process. Best of all she really has improved since yesterday on unloading with the butt bar! YAY!

She got on all by herself too and no bribes, her just being confident knowing that the trailer was a place she could snack and was better than just standing outside of it (of course she got treats while she was in there, but that was after she settled).

I haven't been able to ride Isabel for ages due to school and soccer, and our last two rides were not so great. The second was better than the first, but she felt stiff and heavy. For Christmas I got a new flash after our trainer's suggestion, and today was her third ride with it. I have it snug, but she can still chew some.

Also today it was super windy and she was a bit frazzled after the trailer stuff, since its not her usual routine, so I expected a hyper horse (after she spooked at another horse for no reason), but she was the best I have ever ridden her.

She was very "bouncy" from the wind, making me have to control my posting type of bouncy, but just sooo sooo responsive. Sometimes Isabel and I get into tug of war matches, but today I could have ridden her with dental floss and it would have been easy.

Her canter was to die for, very forward and up, the last couple times I've ridden its been so jarring. SHE WAS JUST PERFECT TODAY!!!

I AM JUST SO PROUD OF MY LITTLE GIRL!
