First Entry

Let's see....maybe I will actually have some time to make entries in this thing..LOL
Introducing my horses
Tricky Tracky is a 29 year old palomino gelding. Retired roping horse who has been through he!! and back and finally came to us last year. He has been there and done that and has been an incredible confidence booster, not to mention best friend to my 12 year old daughter. He is slightly arthritic, but for the most part sound. He does have some bone chips in his hock. He was actually used for something called *Cow Flipping* which as I understand is a Venezualan "sport". Horses would run into the arena and slam themselves against the far wall and wait for the cattle to be released out of the chutes. They would then chase the cows while the rider would try and grab the cows tails and flip them over.
He was introduced to a friend of mine down in Hollywood and when she walked up to his stall, he literally ran to teh back and was visibly shaking.
She decided she had to have him. This was about 5 years ago. He was being ridden in a bike chain bit with a coat hanger for a tie down. He still has scarring across his nose.
With some time, patience and a lot of love, she brought him around. She went through level 2 Parelli with him and he is where he is today. Packing my 12 year old daughter around like he doesnt have a care in the world except to please her. He really is a ray of sunshine. I have never come across a horse like him in my entire lifetime.
Justin Time~ 2 year old bay BS paint...have no idea his bloodlines
Justin came to me a year ago this month. Well, actually I came to him at an auction when a friend of mine called me and told me to get up there and look at this baby. I wasnt in the market for antoher horse, let alone a baby.
I really liked him and after some hmmming and hawing, decided to go ahead and bring him home. Hence his name *Justin Time*....I got there just in time before she ran him through the sale. He is the only horse in 25 years of horses that I have purchased at an auction. To date, I dont regret it. We have done a lot of Clinton Anderson ground work and I cant wait to see what Justin offers under saddle. He will be 2 in May, so I think I will shoot for June/July to start backing him.
He has a wonderful personality and LOVES to please me. We have a great relationship, which makes it all the easier to work with him.
Riker B Cruisin aka *Cruiser*~ My new addition. He is a yearling app colt. Jet black...I know, I know....solid apps!! Sheesh. His lines speak for themselves though. He is out of Mr Perpetualism, our of Perpetualism who is out of Kid Clu. His dam is a Riker/Hunter mare. I knew this mare when she was in training with my best friend. I am hoping that Cruiser takes after her brains and movement. So far, he isnt letting me down. I believe that he will make us proud in the WP ring. Our plans with this guy are to geld him and let my daughter show him in youth halter/lunge line classes and then on to WP. He is so easy to work with.
So that is my entry for today....just an introduction into my crazy horse life
