Day 2 and we have scours and dehydration! The vet came out at about 7.30pm and gave her an enema with that green peppermint smelling pasty liquid... she handled it OK considering there were three of us holding her pinned against the wall of the stable. She actually started going to sleep because I could see her eyes closing. I was talking gently to her.

About 10 minutes later out it came! It was only a few little balls. There was no real blockage but she had hardly anything "up there" at all. She immediatly started bucking and running around the box happy.

Before leaving, she walked up to the vet, did another squirt and flicked her tail at him. He got a blob of green goo right on his mouth. He said he probably deserved that. LOL.

She probably won't poo for a couple of days now, as she is completely empty in there. I have increased her bottle intake to 4 litres a day. She is getting up to the recommended for this particular formula now. Still hasn't pooped, but she is in much better spirits now and her tail isn't clamped down anymore.

I've made an Excel spreadsheet that calculates the amounts she is drinking.
