So what have we been up to......................

Sunday 21st - first show of the season for the Mad Mare and I. So there I am seven o'clock Sunday morning rebathing the Mad Mare, because over night she has kept quite cosy by laying in a big pile of pooh...... so now her usually white neck and head are bright green and quite smelly, not exactly show material................... following this crisis everything went quite smoothly, the weather was dull and cool, but not raining (it did...

Saint or Sinner

Posted 05-14-2006 at 09:11 AM by Cozzie
Saturday started out warm bright, without a hint of a breeze or rain........The Mad mare loaded, travelled, unloaded, waited, tacked up, waited, was mounted, waited, participated in one hours worth of dressage training.........her list of achievements also included:- working in out line, excellent transitions, acceptance of aids, extension and rhythm in all gaits. It means alot to me and I look at it and it makes me smile, it makes me a little sad as well because I miss her so much, but for...

Polos in the paddock

Posted 05-03-2006 at 12:05 PM by Cozzie
I am still feeling rather rough, although better than I was, my energy still resemblers that of a marshmallow. Instead of schooling the mad mare today, I sat in her paddock with polos, everytime she came over to say hello I gave her a polo and a pat. in the end she stayed just for the fuss and did not leave when I all the polos had run out.

Its these small treasured moments that I live for, just the Mad mare and I enjoying each others company. What made me giggle was when she...
