Show... Sort of

We started off like any normal show. Lots of grooming the day before, testing the trailer and getting ready. Over night Misty managed turn herseld bright green while in the stall and knock over 2 of her 3 buckets of water she had.
Next show she'll be wrapped in her stall.
We headed out on unday morning. We were the only ones there until the organisers came. About a half hour before the show was scheduled to start the organisers came with their trailer. We decided that we would have a clinic with the judge instead.
As we got ready the equines in the organisers made an apperance. Out came a big draft gelding, a min stallion and.........a zebra! Misty handled it suprisingly well. He was so cute. He was the size of the mini stallion. Supposedly he will only grow to about 12hh.
The judge was nice. We spent awhile reviewing showmanship and the judge seemed to really like Misty too.
Later we tacked up and just talked about classes and has our uestions answered.
Later on I got some use out of the nice big arena. Misty was good but not great. She gave me some lovely leg yeilds. She was abit fussy about her head (need to figure out what was wrong there) Then we tried abit of a lope. She threw her head and came off the rail but was good. I think she got the wrong lead every time but I'm not really focusing on that with her right now
After I dismounted I realized I wasn't wearing my rythem beads. I think that was the root of *some* of the problems. Later on we packed up and Misty took a nice long nap in the field
And today we went on a trail ride. Went for quite awhile. She was a doll even with the hills. And yes we had remembered our beads
We almost got stuck in the mud too! Star was good for my friend. She has been abit of a handful lately. The only changes were not warming up in the indoor arena and having Star wear a set of beads.
And our next show is on this comming Sunday! wish us luck and cross your fingers that some people show up!
EDIT: Oh yes and I managed to cut Misty's tail about 6" too short. And I finally tried clipping Misty. She stood for her legs and face but would not let me near her ears (she has always been touchy with her ears though). And Stormy finally got a good grooming
EDIT #2:
And here is a picture of Misty. I didn't gorrm at the show because it was just a clinic. Usually she looks better
