I'm going crazy!!!

Well...it's no secret that I have moved and all the bad things that are and have happened! I'm just pretty much venting here, but I think I'm about to blow a gasket if things don't calm down around here!!!
Not to mention the insults and "suspicions" I have to endure from fellow HGS members. One suspicion I would like to address is about my lack of being here (I made a thread explaining that), and the fact that I do rescue work with horses. I don't know why anyone would think that I don't do rescues, or that I deliberately avoid certain threads????
I noticed that the member making those assumptions was fairly new, but a little research goes a long way. I guess she/he should of did that research before making those assumptions of me and making herself look as if she was "sucking up to someone".
I do what I do when I can, and within reason. For instance, I wouldn't travel to California to pick up a 30 year old, crippled horse. I would however, contact the various rescues in their area and see about getting them some assistance. Why is that so bad?
Why do rescue people have to take so much flack for what they do? Is it jealousy? Envy? Or, just someone who gets a kick out of "stirring the pot"? Maybe, it's even someone who has little life of their own, and is looking for someone to complain about, to add a little "excitement" to their life???
Again, I'm just venting about how some rescue people get badgered for trying to save lives, instead of trying to end them>
Thanks for reading this if you took the time!

| | You know, people who really pay attention to you can see the deep love, passion and resources that you DO have. I only WISH that I had the kind of time and space and drive that you have to really make a difference for these horses in need. People who 'pick' on rescues are often trying to make someone else look bad because THEY feel threatened because they don't put their money where their mouth is. Everyone says they love horses... |

| | It's nice to see........someone understand the love and yes, passion I have for these animals. Thank You! I don't ask for recognition, or praise, or for anything from anyone.....just understanding. For every horse I have managed to rescue, there are probably 1000's more needing rescued. I can only do so much, and my heart breaks for every single horse that dies or is killed. This is a very difficult thing to do, because sometimes a rescue has to look several horses in the eyes, and determine that only one of them will get to live. It makes a person very angry and frustrated at how heartless some horse owners can be. Heavenly Jumper.....Thank You so much for understanding where I come from concerning these animals!!!! |

| | I am sure that all of the ones you managed to rescue are very thankful - it takes a special person to take that step especially knowing what can go wrong. There is a huge number of horses needing help and unfortunately you cant help them all, just one at a time. Best wishes - maybe I will ask you some advice in the future as I plan to help out a few old horses once I move (shhh - dont tell hubby!) |
