You know, after not having ridden for quite awhile, I always like to think that I'll be fine and not sore afterwards, but GAH, it's already starting!

I rode a SHORT arab/percheron cross mare named Hester (Yes, you read that cross right, she was... errm... interesting looking). She's one of those horses that is lazy and out of shape, but quick. Basically she tries to run through all of her gaits since doing so collected and balanced is too much work. I got a few really nice rounds with her (she almost looks cute when she's tucked up and trying) and so I was happy. I wasn't really all that concerned with getting her collected or anything though. I mean, she's not my horse, I'll likely never ride her again, why fight?

I'm glad I got to ride though. It was a nice day for it too. Only in the mid 50s or so, and windy, but gosh, I forget sometimes how much I love riding outside.

So, it was a good day. Even though I'm already getting sore, which means I know tomorrow is going to be a 2340923840923 (Emily will understand).
