lesson today

started off walking around in both directions, making an attempt to get jimi moving off my leg. i was able to do it one way but not the other so then megan came out and showed me how to sit properly so that jimi was moving off my leg like it was nothing. lol after that we started working on doing serpentines again, getting jimi to listen and pay attention to what i was asking without hauling me around the arena, so we went around and around and around through the pattern...

well change of plans. not going to MREC anymore but going to the LMQHA all breeds show at thunderbird instead on the 26th i have a lesson tomorrow afternoon, very excited as usual. lol

had another lesson today started off at the walk pushing jimi off and on the rail while megan was explaining what would be happening, spent the majority of the lesson trotting serpentines working on leg yielding through the turns or trying to anyways, while also working staying straight and balanced and not dropping my shoulder. took a few trys but i eventually got it im really enjoying my lessons. lol ended off by walking the serpentine , practicing the same thign i did trotting and then going...

Had a few problems getting on as jimi wouldn't stand still. eventually got on and walked around in both directions till megan came before started trotting a figure 8 before realizing i needed to shorten my stirrups, so i did and then trotted a few circles. there were 3 or 4 poles in the middle of the arena so we spent most of the time with me going over the poles in a 2 point which we also worked on having me do it properly, sitting the trot around the corner then posting on the long side, while...
