Lets start with Monica....

I rode her again tonight (July 1, 2007). She had two days off, one due to me having to go to grad, and two her right hind was a bit sore.

She was perfect and happy today! She had TONES of energy so we wore some of it out on the lunge line..but not all because I had a jam packed lesson planned for her!

Good golly, miss molly! Monica has changed 100% FOR THE BETTER!

I rode her tonight and got some videos because I wanted to see how well she was going, and to see what *I* could do differently...I already know SIT BACK as I was sitting too far foreward for the lope departures..and thas WITHOUT looking at the videos! lol!

She was amazing..wonderfull...fantastic...OMG!

Picked up all her leads, moved out like a good girl for the trot, came back down to a jog...

Ahhh, nother Monica update!

Rode her again last night. I worked on loping her both directions but mainly to the right (transitions) as that was her bad side. Ever since I changed those few things about ME she is doing AWSOME!

I then decided we would work on getting her long and low at the trot, she has a tendincy not to want to streatch down, but I got her going fairly good yesterday, it will take time so I am in no hurry.

Shes such a willing worker and...

I went out and caught Sage tonight and just groomed her up and put fly spray on her. I then took her back out to the field took of the halter and dropped it on the ground. I wanted to see if we could do some halterless/shankless showmanship again. (I like to do that with her as we have a good bond).

She was perfect again. Trotted when I wanted to, stopped like I wanted her to, turned on the haunches when I asked...ex. She even squared up, Gosh, I love her!

I took Sage to get her feet trimmed yesterday and I got to thinking how much I missed riding her. *sigh*

I am going to be hopping on her occasionally to take her for rides out in the field, or other things like that.

But I have been thinking of lightly riding her maybe 2 times a week. She runs around the field like she owns the place, but I have noticed she doesn't like loping much....shes only 2 months pregnant so the pregnancy cannot be used as an excuse! teehee...
