*sigh* Monica is favoring her right hind.....

Thought that would happen. I was hosing off her tail last night and the darn dog spooked her and she spooked right into where all the darn holes are near the waterer..tripped in a hole....so I expected her to be sore today....but its still disapointing.

So...no work for her.

Ugh..maybe I should quit riding Monica for a week all the time.

Two rides ago she was amazing, just amazing! My past to rides....have been good, until I get to that darn right lead again.

I *think* she might be in heat....but I also think she *might* be out somewhere in her body and that needs to get fixed ASAP, but until the chiropractor comes down there isn't anything I can do really....I have been streatching her legs out, her ears (incase her poll is out...Sage's...

So...I finally got to ride Monica. Its been...a week? Poor mare probably felt neglected!

Wow...was she HYPER...that was to be expected though as she has had soo long off. But, we...er ok I lunged her and then poped on.

I decided to do things a bit different today. Decided to do slow work (jogging) first and then lope and then do trotting and then back to some jogging and then walking.

Wow..her jog was like it usually is, so I was happy. Nice, slow, and cadenced....

I went and had Sage ultrasounded yesterday. I wasn't sure what to expect as I have never been to one before and it was super cool!

I saw Sage's fetus inside her and then they pointed out the...HEARTBEAT! Shes only 2 1/2 months pregnant and I didn't think it would have a heartbeat yet, so that suprised me but then that made me SUPER excited!

I still cannot believe that there is a baby growing inside her!

Lets start with Monica....

I rode her again tonight (July 1, 2007). She had two days off, one due to me having to go to grad, and two her right hind was a bit sore.

She was perfect and happy today! She had TONES of energy so we wore some of it out on the lunge line..but not all because I had a jam packed lesson planned for her!
