Continuing the work in the field, we headed out there this morning. Things actually started off better than yesterday - more relaxed. Had some really nice walking - it's amazing what you start to take for granted on a trained pony

Once again we worked through "one leg means move over, not go" *sigh* Fortunately this was a day where she got it quickly.

But this time, trotting was not really part of Catnip's game plan. I thought "we'll do a little short set of trotting at the bottom of the hill where it's flat, away from the barn, on a straight line. Sounds simple huh? I thought so too. This was met with Speedy Legs, so I put her on a circle which meant directing her uphill. This was met with some crowhopping, the first she's ever offered anything like that Further attempts to trot were met with "Eeeeeeeeeee I don't know what you want me to do!!!!" So, back to walking so we could end on a relaxed note.

So, it was a frustrating ride. I know it SHOULDN'T be, but it was.
