And how well His words just spoke through you both from someone that merely disagreed with you. ![]() I'm done with you both. No hard feelings at all. I think we just have differing view points on whats acceptable... | ||

If you think our Bibles are different you might find this reference interesting...there are many more, by the way. Mark 8:34-38 This is a powerful passage. We cannot be ashamed of Christ and hide Him behind closed doors for the sake of being unoffensive, and keeping people/friends around. If we don't own Him how can we bring others to Him? What will distinguish us from non-Christians if we carefully avoid every mentioning God for fear of giving offense? People used to expect Christians to behave and speak differently than non-Christians. But today, so many of us like to do or at least pretend to go along with what everyone else does, and 'Christianity' doesn't involve any commitment other than joining a church and sitting there for an hour a week. What about all the other hours? They should be able to see Christ in us! By the way, I am a long way from being the perfect Christian, and will never be, but it is so important to strive 'to be just like my Lord.' Gentle as He was, He didn't hedge around important issues so that people would stick around.

Gosh, I'm such a bad Christian for not wanting to argue with someone who doesn't want to here about God. Darn me and my respect for other people's beliefs!!!!

John Lyons is a trainer. That is his JOB. Our workplace is not an appropriate place to discuss religion. Period. Now I would have no problem with him discussing religion IF the flyer/info for the clinic made reference that such would be made. If it is not mentioned up front, he's in the wrong. People are paying for a service, and he is taking time away from that service to discuss something about religion. If I pay a plumber to come to my house, I expect him to fix my pipes, not discuss religion. If I am being checked out at the grocery store, I expect my groceries to be scanned, and not to have to listen to a bible lecture at the same time. There is a right and a wrong place to discuss religion....Unless you work in a church, then the workplace is almost always the WRONG place. Do what you are paid for. Save the rest for your off time, or at least warn me ahead of time not to waste a bunch of money coming to see you. I don't need to pay someone to teach me about religion...I already know about religion. What I don't know is the best way to train horses, and that's what I'm paying to find out. At the very least, he could say "If anyone is interested in a religious discussion, please stay AFTER the clinic ends and we can have a fellowship." However it is highly, highly disrespectful towards every non-christian in the audience to make them listen to propaganda when they came for a horse seminar. Time and place people....and your job is not the place, I don't care who you are. Want to honor the lord on the job? Wear a cross and shut the hades up so that you don't waste my time with things I didn't pay to hear.

AND that bit was really un needed bling. You don't like anything. I think this thread just needs to be locked because everyone just wants to fight.

I like lots of things, that's a silly statement. How can you say I don't like "anything"? I love puppies, my boyfriend and rainbows thank you very much! I certainly don't think I said anything rude or off topic. I only said something you don't like, and last I checked it wasn't against the rules to disagree politely. The subject of this thread is JL vs MR. My opinion is that I prefer MR over JL if it is true that JL takes peoples money under false pretenses (promising horse training for x amount of time and them spending part of that time discussing religion instead.)

haha! I can think of one thing from a previous thread that I KNOW you like but that would be a little rated R lol. I only said that because it seems that I always run into you on the threads where all the drama is. I think you like to argue even more than I do But the point you made had already been made that is why I said it was un needed, in order to argue with you I would have to repeat myself. |
