I just watched this TNT movie about James Dean...

Was wondering if anyone else saw it...

It was INTENSE...Basically it made me think. He was really a weird guy, but just when he ahd things almost going right, everything fell apart and ended abruptly...

So...just wanted to see who else saw it

And if you haven't, it was reallly good. James Franco won a Golden Globe for it.


Also, am I mistaken or did Monty Roberts have a small part in East of Eden with him? I could have sworn he did. I'm going to go look through my Monty Roberts book real quick

I missed the movie your talking about but think that I have seen it before...or it was another one about him.....since I am a big James Dean fan....

oh. lol. I wasn't making this a Monty Roberts thread, I was jsut wodnering because I could have sworn I saw it that he had like a part as an extra or maybe it was his brother or something. lol.

And this movie had James Franco. I recommend it if you're a fan

Actually I jsut looked in my "Man Who Listens to Horses" book and there's two black and white pics. One of him WITH James Dean and another of him and his future wife Pat in costume on the set. I knew I wasn't going insane. lol

It's a TNT movie he won a Golden Globe for and I rented it, as you guessed I'm a James Franco fan, but it was SO good. I can totally understand why he won a Globe for it

Mony Roberts and his wife Pat were very close friends with James Dean.
I read the book, Listens To Horses, what a wondeful book, what a wonderful man, love this book I highly sugest this book, Monty Roberts is a very unique man, if there were a God to the horse this man I would claim to be him, that is how much I admire him OH, in this book the speaks of James Dean, can;t give away anything but a excellent book...

the title is "James Dean" lol. Just ask for the one with James Franco in it...It really was an excellent portrayal. Even looked a bit like him. Watch it and let me know what you thought
