I've been shopping!!!

Okay - I have been bad. I admit it ...

Instead of buying new towels for the house, or new wallpaper or something I went and bought a new horse instead ... (you guys can all relate - right?! )

I am beyond thrilled to have been able to buy this filly. She is a 2006 perlino TB filly, by RFF King's Ransom out of Lissa's Gold Legacy by Glitter Please. She should mature to the 16.2-16.3hh area ...

Here is a picture of her in all of her fuzzy glory, taken about 2 weeks ago:

She will grow up with the "other kids" over the next few years and then will become a very important broodmare for us. We will probably do the WB approvals with her as well, but if all goes well, she would be bred to Guaranteed Gold and that combination would produce double dilutes (either perlino or cremello or perhaps smoky cream) 100% of the time. We have a lot of interest from overseas buyers on double dilute colts and fillies and this will put us in the position that we can produce them 100% of the time with her ...

So - LOTS of Kraft Dinner for the forseeable future!!! Anyone have some nice recipes to jazz it up a bit?!

Great investment. Do you have any full body shots of her yet?

You foresight and future planning for your breeding program always impresses me. You are what I think of when I think "responsible breeder".... your foals have it all, comformation, athleticism and WOW!

Good for you GG. So does that mean you have to send Faux Finish to me to make room? If so, I guess I can deal with it....

What a beauty! I do believe I saw her off of Red Fox Farm's website the other day when I was browsing at their studs. Good luck with her! I live off of Ramen noodles to support my horse-habits effectively...LOL!

I LOVED the neck and topline on her as well. And she has a beautiful head on her - even for a double dilute who head's can tend to be "funny looking" if you're not used to them!

I do have some body shots, but I am going to wait until she gets home (this Tuesday), she sheds out and is cleaned up ... ... and I'll then take some more to post.

She is a really correct and beautiful filly - very well balanced. She had a pasture accident last December which has left her with some scar tissue, so unfortunately it is noticeable enough that any line shows would probably be totally ruled out for her. We have toyed with cosmetic surgery on it, but at this time, it hasnt touched the joint, she is 100% sound on it, it is mostly healed up and I am really hesitating with doing something invasive for no reason other than cosmetic ... So - we'll re-evaluate in the fall once she has grown and the skin has stretched some more but at this time, I think we are probably going to simply leave well enough alone ...

CowGirlUp - good try! Gotta give you an "A" for effort!!!

Faux Finish leaves on Monday and I wont be bringing her home until September or October. I am going to miss the little Princess like CRAZY!!!

And thanks for the nice words on her and on my breeding program. It is SO hard to make a go of it, year after year, on a consistent basis. Puchi Trap is really the cornerstone of my whole breeding program (Faux Finish, Chai Latte and Stonewashed's dam) as well as Guaranteed Gold. I really think this filly will be an equally important addition as well, but only time will tell ...

I would love to go shopping like that!!!
I don't even want to know what the GG foal out of this mare would cost though.
