Itsy Bitsy Teeny Weeny Forelock!

What to do? Dollar has absolutely no forelock except for a little teeny puff. Hardly anything at all. Any way I can make it longer besides mtg. About 2 months ago I pulled his mane and that has grown so much more than his forelock, ( about 2 inches).
So any ideas, I can use mtg I just dont have any and if I dont have to buy some I wont.

Konfetti has the same problem I've tried MTG, I've tried braiding it...it's still a pathetic little poof of fuzz.

Some horses' just don't have forelocks, which makes no sense to me when they have nice manes and tails..*sighs*

I'm convinced that forelocks don't grow.

Yea I know. His tail almost touches the ground again after he lost quite a bit when he was injured. This is the extent of his forelock

Aww, peach fuzz forelock! I'm so happy that Katie at least has more than this! It's growing some, but very snail-slow! I've never seen a horse that had peach fuzz grow it out, though!

Grow out a bit of his bridle path and train it up that way. I can't do it with Spanky, as his mane is just as pathetic as his forelock, but Dante's is nice and thick (all of his hair is) and his grows up toward there naturally.

I wonder if thats a QH horse thing...my 17 year old lesson mare is the same way.

My sister making fun of her right after I got her...we had morgans growing up so most of them had a forelock to the nose.

I have the same problem but my boy's forlock will grow in some spots but it's like a giant cowlick and so only a few hairs grow and they all grow different directions, it's rather annoying.

You can see it grows but that's all it grows, never anymore and it's impossible to band or braid for shows without looking stupid. So I usually have to put almost a whole bottle of gel in it just for it to lay flat

Red has very little forelock at all. He has a nice mane and tail but the forelock..not so much. I kind of twist it and put gel in it for a show. At least it *looks*braided when I do that.

We have a couple of horses at the farm that it takes work to tame the forelock for braiding.
