Exclamation It's not even Thanksgiving yet!

Does anyone else notice that Christmas seems to get earlier and earlier each year??

I have seen houses in my area that are ALREADY decorated for Christmas and all of the holiday candy, cokes, and decoration sales are already out!

Plus I woke up today and my mom had Christmas music on and it wasn't a CD, it was on the radio! lol. I love Christmas, don't get me wrong, but at least wait till AFTER Thanksgiving to start all the hoopla. It's only a little over a week into November and we have Christmas music on the radio, decorations everywhere, and all that food already out! It's crazy! lol.

It's all a little too soon for my liking.

I know exactly what you mean! The place I work is already decorated for Christmas. In all the stores the decorations and other Christmas items are already going up. I think that they should atleast wait until after Thanksgiving.

I am fighting with my inlaws..they are decorating their houses and think I should too-but I refuse to make my house Christmasie until Dec 1.

I did make my hubby put the Christmas lights on the house last weekend, but that was for his own sake before it hit -30 C. I won;t turn them on at night until December 1.

I think people forget there is Thanksgiving until like the day before when they say "Oh! Time to bake the turkey!"

LOL You know what...I have no idea why ours is earlier than yours!! LMAO!!! I'll have to look that up...it's nice though. I wouldn't like two important family gathering type holidays so close together.

Yeah the Festival of Trees is wicked...I'm a s.ucker for that type of stuff too LOL It's a huge thing every year in Red Deer with tons of cool trees all decorated differently. My favorite last year was the Teddy Bear tree LOL

My hometown is going to have their late night shopping and tree lighting in about a week as well...it's fun. Free hot chocolate and hot dogs for everybody at the gazebo, free hay rides, and the tree lighting (so stupid, it's just a plain old fir tree and they plug in the lights and everybody goes "Oooo" LMAO!!!!). The town is small, 800 people, so it's a fun thing where you know everybody there.
