its getting close...

it's getting close to my cousins mare foaling! I'd say about a week or two left...her sack has begun to fill up, but it is a little hard...no milk or anything yet. My cousin has me coming down and checking her mare almost every day because it's a first time foal for both her and the mare. She's so worried....it's so funny, but I'm also a little worried for the mare....
The mare is only three years old, when my cousin got the horse, neither she nor the old owners knew she had been bred as a two year old. She was bred last May...we're not sure of the day though...but the baby will be born anytime this month.

Is this the same cousin that has/had the sick horses, one of whom died, and others are getting sick?

We are in the same boat! I bought a mare that is 3 at auction and come to find out she is bred and due to foal anytime now too! She is a maiden mare also!

No. This is a different cousin. She bought this mare from my other cousin who has the sick horses. They didn't know she had been bred or anything. Not this mare is getting all the love and attention she needs.
