It's Baby Time

Oreo is my 6yo Qh mare that i have raised.
this is her first baby. and she is bred to a
buckskin 16h QH.
I don't have any pics of dad. this is out of a bad situation.
i'll do a more info update soon.
she is due Nov.11 to Dec.2

and here she is a couple of weeks ago. i'll have to get some more updated pics of her and maybe when it's not been raining and she's not so dirty.

I think this is the funnest part.
So when do you all think she will foal? what's she going to have?
& what color is it going to be?

Cute mare. You've got a wiiiide range of color possibilities so a guess is pretty hard

All I can say is 50% chance of grey. Base color... I couldn't tell ya.

50% chance of grey, 50% chance of tobiano (assuming mom is heterozygous), 50% chance of cream (assuming only dad has a cream gene).

What color/pattern were mom's parents? Color/pattern of dad's parents? That would help make guesses more accurate....

This is Oreo, her mom and full sister.
mom is in the middle. her dad was a full blue roan.

don't have a clue on dads parents colors.

Hmmm...I think daddy must have actually been grey, not blue roan. Or both. One of her parents must be grey.

Ditto what notanumber said. Blue roans will keep the dark color over their points, on greys... well it wipes it out. And your girl looks to be a grey and white tobiano.

I know what color Oreo is.

grandparents parents are on her moms or dads side.
so i cann't help the fact that they
threw me a grey. i love her any ways.

Now as far as what she is bred to all i know is the man owned a
buckskin stallion. i don't know anything about his parents or anything els because
i never had her bred.

My husband broke his ankle over a year ago and has been out of work because of it.
we got in a money mess and i sold her to what i thought was a friend. we made the agreement if he changed his mind or if something ever happened he needed to re home her she came back to me. 3 weeks later i find her at a local horse auction which was my worst night mare come true. when i saw her standing there i was madd enough i would have killed him if he had been there.
I baught her back and here we go. now we have a baby on the way.

Well we can't give you any idea what is going to pop out because from pictures we do not know her base color. We do not know for sure if her sire was a true blue roan (doubting this) or a dark grey that someone was calling a blue roan (seen this LOADS of time).

So like was stated before, you have a 50% chance of grey, 50% chance of getting cream (again ASSUMING dad has cream), and 50% chance of tobiano (assuming AGAIN that she is heterozygous for tobiano).

Without knowing for sure her base colors and without knowing for sure what the stud was, that is about the best answer I think we can give you.
