If dusty has orange colouring in ears i beleive that is a sign of smokey black? He doesn't look to be a burnt or black buckskin though does he looks black/brown, but if there is absolutely no chance that she was served by another stallion/colt then he must be a black buckskin/smokey black would be my guess.

Ok, I am back. Internet has been horrible today and then I have a farrier who got here late and this guy likes to talk.

Any who, I have to go back to photobucket and copy and paste. Lets hope the internet holds out for just a little longer.

Here he is! Dusty was a dark buckskin only in his yearling year, but his sire was a dark buckskin so that is a really good possiblity.

Definitely a buckskin and definitely ADORABLE!!!

Dusty could just as easily be smokey black even if his sire was a buckskin. He just looks sooo dark. Handsome boy! If you want to get him tested you need only test for agouti to get your answer.
